Service Description

Embark on an empowering journey of self-discovery and stress reduction with our comprehensive 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course designed specifically for beginners. MBSR is the original 8-week mindfulness course founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979. This transformative program combines the power of mindfulness meditation and scientifically proven techniques to help you cultivate a deep sense of inner calm and resilience. Over the course of eight weeks, our experienced teachers will guide you through a structured curriculum that introduces you to the core principles and practices of mindfulness. Through a combination of guided meditations, gentle yoga, and interactive discussions, you will learn to bring a non-judgmental awareness to your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. Each weekly session builds upon the previous one, allowing you to gradually deepen your understanding and experience of mindfulness. You will discover practical strategies to integrate mindfulness into your daily life, promoting greater clarity, focus, and emotional well-being. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to engage in group discussions and share your experiences with fellow participants, creating a supportive and nurturing environment. Additionally, you will receive guidance on establishing a personal meditation practice to sustain your mindfulness journey long after the course concludes. This program is being taught by Nadine Anderson. / 8 x Weekly Sessions (2 hours each) on Saturday mornings from 18th May 2024 / 1 Day Retreat (6 hours) Sunday 23rd June, is a program included as part of the course curriculum. / Home guided Meditation Practice for 30-45 minutes daily throughout the course. Handbook and recordings provided.
