MBSR is the original 8-week mindfulness course founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979. It is held in a group setting, with teacher-guided instruction of formal and informal mindfulness practices in order to cultivate awareness of the ways that the mind and body connect for health and well-being. - Information Session (1.5 hours, free of charge), 8th January provides a brief introduction to mindfulness practices, research, course particulars, and Q&A about joining a course. Note: It is required of all enrolled participants. - 8 x Weekly Sessions (2.5 hours each) in-person on Wednesday evenings from 16th January -12th March 2024. We will not have class over Chinese New Year. Reading material and audio recordings are provided. - 1 Day Retreat (7 hours) , is a program included as part of the course curriculum. - Home Practice for 45+ minutes daily throughout the course.
