Service Description

MBSR is the original 8-week mindfulness course founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979. It is held in a group setting, with teacher-guided instruction of formal and informal mindfulness practices in order to cultivate awareness of the ways that the mind and body connect for health and well-being. - Information Session (1.5 hours, free of charge), online Monday 2nd February, 2023 provides a brief introduction to mindfulness practices, research, course particulars, and Q&A about joining a course. Note: It is required of all enrolled participants. This session is online as we realise people may still be travelling. - 8 x Weekly Sessions (2.5 hours each) in-person on Saturday mornings from 18th February 2023 - 08 April 2023. Handouts and audio recordings provided. - 1 Day Retreat (6 hours) , is a program included as part of the course curriculum. - Home Practice for 45+ minutes daily throughout the course.
