Service Description

MBSR is the original 8-week mindfulness course founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979. It is held in a group setting, with teacher-guided instruction of formal and informal mindfulness practices in order to cultivate awareness of the ways that the mind and body connect for health and well-being. / Information Session (1.5 hours, free of charge), online Thursday 6th October, 2022 provides a brief introduction to mindfulness practices, research, course particulars, and Q&A about joining a course. Note: It is required of all enrolled participants. / 8 x Weekly Sessions (2.5 hours each) on Thursday evenings from 13th October 2022 - 1st December 2022. Handouts and audio recordings provided. / 1 Day Retreat (7 hours) Sunday 20th November, is a program included as part of the course curriculum. / Home Practice for 45+ minutes daily throughout the course.
