Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course.
DETAILS
7pm Thursday's 6th August–September 24th, 2026 What Can You Learn in a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course? Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week course designed to help you meet the pressures of everyday life with greater awareness and balance. Through guided mindfulness practices and simple daily exercises, participants learn practical tools for managing stress, building resilience, and creating space to pause, reflect, and respond more consciously. What Are the Benefits of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)? Each person’s experience of MBSR is naturally different, however research and participant experience consistently show that the course may support: • Better sleep and improved overall wellbeing • A calmer, more balanced response to stress and overwhelm • Greater emotional awareness and regulation • Reduced anxiety, rumination, and mental fatigue • Improved focus, concentration, and clarity in daily life • Building resilience during periods of change and uncertainty • Responding more consciously rather than reacting automatically • Increased self-compassion and a healthier relationship with yourself • Support in working with chronic stress, tension, and physical discomfort • Creating more space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most Who is MBSR for? Many participants join MBSR to support their wellbeing during periods of stress, change, burnout, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or simply a sense of feeling constantly “on.” Others come to reconnect with themselves, improve focus and resilience, or create more space for reflection and balance in daily life. The course is especially relevant for those seeking practical, evidence-based tools that can be integrated into everyday living, both personally and professionally. • Information Session (1.5 hours, free of charge), provides a brief introduction to mindfulness meditation practices, research, course particulars, and Q&A about joining a course. Note: It is required of all enrolled participants. • 8 x Weekly Sessions (2.5 hours each) in-person. Reading material and audio recordings are provided. • 1 Day Retreat (6 hours) Sunday 13th September 2026, is a program included as part of the course curriculum. • Home Practice for 45+ minutes daily throughout the course.
