Online Mindfulness Meditation Workshop Saturday 15 & 22 August | 2.30pm – 4.00pm HKT Join mindfulness teacher and trainer Nadine Anderson for a two-session online workshop designed for healthcare professionals, psychologists, counsellors, social workers, coaches, educators, and wellbeing practitioners who would like to integrate mindfulness into both their professional practice and personal lives. This interactive workshop offers an introduction to evidence-based mindfulness and explores practical ways mindfulness can support practitioner wellbeing, stress management, emotional resilience, and client care. Participants will have the opportunity to learn, practise and discuss mindfulness techniques that can be applied in everyday life and professional settings. Session 1: Understanding Mindfulness In our first session, we will explore the foundations of mindfulness and its potential benefits for both practitioners and clients. Themes include: • The principles and foundations of mindfulness • What mindfulness is and what we currently know about its benefits • Techniques for cultivating mindfulness in daily life and professional settings • Exploring opportunities and challenges when introducing mindfulness into healthcare, therapeutic and wellbeing environments Session 2: Practical Applications The second session focuses on practical mindfulness exercises and ways to introduce mindfulness skills within professional settings. Themes include: • Simple mindfulness practices suitable for a range of client and patient groups • Strategies for integrating mindfulness into therapeutic, coaching and healthcare sessions • Self-care practices to support practitioner wellbeing and help prevent burnout • Ethical considerations when sharing mindfulness practices with others What You Will Receive By the end of the workshop, participants will have explored a range of practical mindfulness exercises and approaches that may support their work with others. We will also provide a selection of brief guided mindfulness and meditation scripts to help participants begin sharing simple practices where appropriate and within the scope of their professional role. This workshop is delivered online via Zoom and all sessions are conducted in Hong Kong Time (HKT).
